Days Inn by Wyndham Kingston

I had to find a place for one night at the last minute. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and renovated, though a few bathroom fixtures looked oddly old or broken. The water pressure was good, and breakfast was what you'd expect, tasty but nothing special. The automatic pancake maker was the standout.

We were here for my kids' hockey tournament. The staff were pleasant and check-in was easy, but there weren't enough employees. The hotel layout is odd, with lots of entrances and a tiny, slow elevator. The room was small and only sort of clean: there was mold in the bathroom and stains on the sheets. The beds were soft and sagging. The pool is small, and the fitness room is a joke. Breakfast was a pancake machine that wasn't very good, cold boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, and toast. Coffee and tea were available around the clock, but neither was good. With so many places to choose from in Kingston, I wouldn't stay here again.

Jeet at the front desk is the best. He's adorable and charming, always smiling when someone comes up to him. The morning front desk woman was great too, though I didn't get her name. Thank you both for your service. We had a fantastic stay. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping was very accommodating. The location was great, parking was free, and breakfast was good. The pancake maker was the highlight, and the indoor pool was open through the winter. We'll definitely be back.

The workers were really friendly and attentive, and the room was clean, though a bit run down. The shower bar was rusty, wallpaper was peeling at the corners, and the bathroom ceiling looked rough under the paint. We asked for extra pillows, and they brought them right away. The beds were so hard and uncomfortable that all four of us woke up sore, and some hardly slept. The pool was clean but freezing, cold enough to make my joints ache. Other adults were sitting around it in winter jackets. The hot tub was nice and hot, but looked unpleasant, with black paint peeling off the walls. Breakfast had a pancake maker, hard boiled eggs, bagels or bread, and cereal. It's a two star hotel, so you get what you pay for. We'd probably stay again if the beds were more comfortable, but they're a deal breaker for us.
