The room had charm, and the front desk staff were awesome. I’d return, since things like the outlets can be fixed, while good service is harder to find. My Expedia booking went smoothly, but the extra credit card charge I asked them to process wasn’t done, despite being told it would be no problem. I also had to call twice to get my room receipt. The outlets didn’t work, and the staff could use some work on their English.

May made check-in a delight at this cozy little motel. Breakfast comes with a choice: eat at the restaurant or grab Tim Hortons if you’re in a hurry.

I’ve been coming here for my fishing trips for over 10 years, but after this last stay I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere. Gatorade spilled on the bed, and they charged me to replace the new sheets, saying there were stains in other places too. It felt like anything to make a buck, even off a loyal customer. I don’t like being taken advantage of, especially during what’s supposed to be a fun fishing trip.

The noise through the walls was the main drawback. Other guests weren’t especially loud, but I could still hear them easily, and that could be a bigger problem with louder people. My first room had a few minor issues, though they quickly moved me to another one. The rooms were clean, breakfast was decent, and service was prompt. It’s a handy, walkable spot for everything in downtown Kitimat, and decent value for the money.
