Breakfast was a highlight, and Kim was happy to talk through our plans each morning. We followed several of her restaurant suggestions and had some great meals. Our room, the Bluenose on the third floor, had a lovely harbor view and was clean and well equipped. Check-in was simple, and Kim showed us around this clearly well-loved home. The entry code was convenient and made us feel secure, and the house was very quiet. After a week of travel, that hot shower with such good water pressure was especially welcome. Ashlea House was one of my best B&B stays. We’d gladly come back.

The chocolate chip cookies were a treat, and breakfast was excellent every day. Kim and Ed were friendly hosts, and their tips on where to eat and what to see around Lunenburg were really useful. Ashlae House was the best place we stayed during our Nova Scotia travels. We’ll tell friends and family about it, and would happily return if we’re in Lunenburg again.

Kim and Ed were terrific hosts, and their attention to detail at the inn was impeccable. Their restaurant suggestions, including Beach Pea, Half Shell, and Quarterdeck, were right on, as were the hiking ideas for Kejimkujik National Park, Hirtles Beach, and Rissers Beach. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was a real treat each morning, fresh, delicious, and nicely presented. The hosts were attentive and warm, and gave me useful local suggestions while making sure I had what I needed. The rooms were cozy and well cared for, and I felt welcome from the start. I had a delightful stay at Ashlea house B&B and would gladly return.

The three-course breakfast was incredible, and the conversations around the table with the hosts and other guests were both fun and informative. They even had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. Kim and Ed clearly care about the guest experience. The 1880s house has been beautifully restored as a B&B and is kept immaculately. If you want the feel of a charming Nova Scotia fishing town, this is a lovely place to stay.
