Hôtel Versō

The location and the restaurant food are the only reasons this gets two stars. Otherwise, a big zero. For the price, the service was completely unacceptable: they couldn't even clean the room properly. We stayed two nights with our baby. Before arriving, nobody replied to our email about whether there was a crib. We had to call three times just to find out what kind was available. They should call back and answer customers. At check-in, a young teenager wearing a gold chain seemed totally uninterested and mumbled “I don’t know” when we asked a basic question about whether they had EV chargers that could take Type 1. We requested room service once, on the second day. After being out all morning, we returned around 1 p.m. and nothing had been cleaned. The front desk said, “we just didn’t get around to it.” Someone eventually came late in the afternoon, after we reminded them, but still didn’t clean the room. They only made the bed. The floors weren’t vacuumed, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned, and the towels were still on the bathroom floor.

We’re enjoying our stay even with the rain. The lake views are lovely, the rooms are great, and the hotel is in a really convenient spot. The woman at reception was lovely, and the restaurant staff were very friendly. We haven’t eaten there yet, but the food looks good, so we’re planning to later. Would recommend!

We loved staying at Hotel Verso during our cycling trip with Randonnée Tours. Every room has a view of the water and either a patio or balcony, and the hotel sits right on the waterfront. The cycling trail passes by, while downtown Magog’s shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent. A great place to stay.

We had the relaxing weekend we wanted and would happily return. The hotel was very quiet, clean, and the pool was heated just right. Our room was elegant, with an amazing bed, and the small balcony was still comfortable. The location made the whole weekend easy without using the car: the beach, cruises, restaurants, and everything else were just minutes away on foot. Highly recommend.
