The fishing was world class, and the scenery and natural beauty were incredible during our 4 1/2 days at Sointula Lodge. Bruce and Lisa are generous owners who really embody hospitality. The staff quickly felt like friends, and were interesting and fun to spend time with. If you’re looking for rest for your body, inspiration for your soul, and great fishing, this is the place.

Moose the Lodge Dog, the resident alpaca herd, and a burger served at sea by the Burger Boat were some of the highlights of our visits to Malcolm Island. We also loved the delicious food, cedar hot tub, sauna, riding e-bikes into town, catching a giant salmon, and sleeping soundly through the dark, quiet nights. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, and the service, food, and fishing at Sointula Lodge are just as impressive. The friendly, professional staff made us feel like family. We can’t wait to go back.

I’ve visited the crew at Sointula for a couple of seasons, and I always leave feeling like family, with memories for life. Catching fish every day and seeing so much wildlife in such a magical place was life changing. The staff are amazing, the food is incredible, and the fishing guides are next level. If you want a once in a lifetime trip with great people, a luxurious but adventure filled vacation, and one of the most beautiful settings, this is for you. Even if you don’t think you like fishing, you’d enjoy this. I can’t recommend it enough!

The fish our group caught were great, but the people and memories made the trip. The guides, hospitality staff, and chefs were all kind, friendly, incredible to spend time with, and there was never a dull moment. The food was absolutely to die for. Many thanks to the Lodge crew for the fish and even greater memories. Five stars doesn’t begin to cover the experience here.

The accommodations were great, the guides were excellent, and the fishing was fantastic. The food was amazing, too. Sointula Lodge surpassed even my highest expectations. It’s such a luxurious fishing resort that women love it here. This hidden gem is not to be missed!
