I found real peace at Honey Grove while I couldn't get home. The cottage had all the comforts I needed, and even with isolation, Tal and Nao, along with their lovely dogs, chickens, and gardens, made me feel connected. I could spend hours walking in nature right from the door, drive to the beaches in minutes, and get organic eggs soon after they came from the coop. The deck was perfect for watching the moon and stars, and I could enjoy storms from a safe place. I watched the garden and trees wake up, including robins nesting in the clematis above the bedroom windows. There was time to read and write, and now I really want to return. I’d first tried to book a week earlier that spring, but the cottage was full. Travel restrictions and cancellations during the first months of Covid 19 eventually opened up the chance to stay for two wonderful months. Tal and Nao were caring, responsive, and respectful hosts.
