That Nanaimo Bar Cheesecake was outstanding, though the piece was tiny for what it cost. The blueberry pie came in a decent portion, but I didn’t care for the cinnamon or nutmeg taste I thought I detected. The fish cakes were really good, and it was a surprise to get them with chow chow. We shared the hot lobster dip and it disappeared fast. We’d stopped in while visiting friends in Yarmouth, and our server, Kelly, was friendly and efficient.

The chicken soup was great, and the sandwich had good-quality chicken. The dessert was a letdown, though. I expected cranberry pudding but got a small piece of piping-hot cake with cranberry sauce and a little whipped cream on top. At $6.50, it wasn’t worth it, and to me it just wasn’t real cranberry pudding.

The coconut cream pie is tres yummy. I come here regularly with guests, and the food is always great. Service is quick and friendly.

The restaurant serves traditional homemade Acadian food, highly recommend it. I stay here every time I take the CAT from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth. The village is lovely to explore, and the rooms are comfortable, with a table, frig, coffee, and other basics. There’s a handicap access room adjoining another, so my elderly mom and I can each have our own room.
