We were in Midway for a hockey tournament in Feb and stayed two nights at the Mile Zero Motel. The rooms were spacious and clean, with the basic things we needed. There are two outdoor areas to hang out or socialize, and the kids could use them too. The weather was nice, so that was awesome. All in all, a great stay and a pleasant surprise.

Really terrible customer service. We arrived at 8:30pm, and the woman at the desk told us it was “past her check-in time.” We needed two rooms, but she said there was only one family room available: a bedroom with a double bed, plus two single beds in a shared area. She said there was a kitchenette, but warned that if we used the dishes and didn’t wash them, we’d be charged $50 extra. The bathroom sink was barely big enough to wash your hands, and it was the only place to clean the dishes. Greenwood is only 10 to 15 min down the road. Next time we need a motel in the area, we’ll go there. Edit: Wow, it’s amazing how quickly a response to a poor review goes up, with no accountability taken. Lots of assumptions made. Choose wisely, my friends.

Vicki was a wonderful host, attentive to what we needed and knowledgeable about the local area. I stayed at the motel with some friends for about two weeks over the summer. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Tracy and Vickie gave us a friendly smile and such great vibes when we arrived for our first visit. The rooms were really clean and comfortable to sleep in, and our group of friends had a great time. I’d definitely stay again. It’s quiet, there’s a great restaurant within walking distance, and the lake is an easy drive away for some extra relaxation.

The food made the wait worthwhile. The fries were golden and crunchy outside, soft in the middle, and the fish was cooked well. Everyone seemed happy with what they ordered for a late lunch. Prices felt reasonable for the area and quality, and the decor suited the season. We sat down a little after lunchtime while the restaurant still had a healthy number of customers, which made it seem worth trying. Service was slow, and the lone waitress had quite a bit to handle. We waited a while for drinks and food, but when she served us, she was pleasant and helpful. We’ll likely return to this diner if our travels take us that way again.
