It wasn't my first stay, and I'd book here again. The rooms come with kitchenettes, and there's a good warm breakfast each morning. Staff are friendly, the location feels safe, and there's underground parking. Larger vehicles can use a nearby lot, and there's space at the entrance to stop and unload luggage. No valet. The hotel is popular for business trips, near the metro, shopping malls, and cinema. A taxi to the old port costs 20 dollars. The rooms are starting to feel a little dated for my taste, with more carpet than I'd like. That's personal preference, and the reason for my four stars.

Emergency help is another problem. The “emergency” number only works during business hours, so if tenants get locked out at night, on weekends, or over holidays, they have to pay a locksmith themselves and aren't reimbursed. There are broader management and operational issues that seriously affect quality of life. Security was removed, followed by repeated thefts and trespassing. Management has blamed residents for stolen packages and threatened disciplinary action instead of improving safety. Tenants report a persistent marijuana smell through the ventilation, indoor smoking, frequent false fire alarms, and cockroaches. Complaints bring warning emails, but little seems to be done to resolve the issues. Basic services have also been poorly handled. Mailboxes were promised more than a year ago and never installed, so mail has been lost. Advertised cleaning wasn't provided, and the internet is unreliable and often crashes. Laundry went from $2.50 to $4.50 per machine, and concerns were reportedly brushed off. Lease administration raises concerns too. Some requested lease transfers were denied, only for management to later approach applicants directly with cheaper units. Tenants describe inconsistent lease terms and difficulty recovering deposits. One tenant with a month left was told leaving would mean a three-month penalty. Rent increases above the government-established percentage were justified by claiming commercial status, despite earlier statements that the building had become residential. Management seems reactive and dismissive of tenant concerns. I'd strongly caution prospective renters to think carefully before signing.

The little kitchenette saved us so much on meals, and grocery stores and other shops for snacks are just steps away. My husband enjoyed the delicious free breakfast each morning while I was at my surgery downtown at Westmount. When I came out of the surgical centre, the staff provided a raised toilet seat and were kind and compassionate while I recovered. They also let us check out two hours late, so we didn't have to rush to the airport. The location was perfect for the surgery, and the staff couldn't have been better. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Thank you to everyone for making the stay so good and for your kindness. We can't wait to come back as tourists and explore downtown. God bless you all, and see you again soon!

The room is a good deal, with lots of space and huge closets. Ours smelled strongly of garlic bread when we arrived, but a staff member sprayed something that got rid of it. The neighborhood was pretty good and easy to walk around, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops. The elevator is very fast. The parking garage can't fit larger SUVs or minivans, but there's another garage about a block away. This isn't the Ritz Carleton, but for the price it's solid.

Living here feels like a monthly inconvenience course. Rent payments have limited methods, the building has leaks, missing windows, frozen pipes and icy corners, and management's internet goes out often. If you work from home, good luck with the unreliable connection. There's no office to speak to anyone in person. Several residents have lost apartment keys, and hot water problems mean residents keep filing tickets through the building stack application. Support feels more like a delay simulator than a way to resolve anything. I'm waiting for the day management blames all of it on the previous owners: leaks, windows, internet, no hot water, all supposedly historic issues. The pattern seems to be inherit the mess, deny responsibility, call it a transition, and keep bringing in tenants. I'm counting the days until my lease ends. I'm not moving out, I'm escaping.
