The front desk staff were friendly and informative, and parking was easy to arrange through them. We arrived on a Saturday evening in November and there was still space. The location is central, with lots of places within walking distance. Breakfast was yummy, with bread and bagels, spreads, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee, and fruit. I absolutely loved staying at the Chateau L'ar goat. The service was great, the room was cute and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The temperature was just right, and the whirl pool tub was a lovely bonus. 10/10, great spot.

There are several good food options and historic sights close by, and the location is really well chosen. Parking is behind the hotel and somewhat limited, though the staff do their best to fit everyone in. The room and bathroom were surprisingly spacious, especially compared with many newer hotels. It’s a charming, well-kept place with extremely hospitable staff.

Room 4 is worth asking for if it’s available, it was very spacious. The room was spotlessly clean, and the hotel felt secure. We stayed four nights and would highly recommend it. Its location is ideal for exploring the old town. The continental breakfast set us up for the morning, and the coffee was excellent. Richard and Kareem at the front desk were awesome: friendly, helpful, and happy to show us how to get places. They even gave us an ice pack for our backpack cooler so we could have a nice picnic lunch, and helped us in other ways too. It was our first Montreal trip, and they helped make it memorable.

The whole building is beautiful, and the rooms feel cozy and inviting. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, and the free breakfast was a fantastic addition. Easily the best place I’ve stayed in Montreal. I’m planning to come back here whenever I visit.
