The pool was one of the reasons we chose this place, along with the price and free breakfast for the kids. Nobody told us when booking or checking in that it had been closed for over four months. I was told at the desk I should have received an email about the hotel's shortcomings, but I booked by phone and never got one. We also drove past at first because the north side of the neon sign wasn't working, then had to turn around in an old parking lot to find the working south-facing side. The room was unbearably hot. The heater was set to 70 and it took hours for the temperature to come down. The bathroom door showed serious water damage, was warped and broken, and wouldn't shut properly. The shower fan didn't work and was disgusting. When I tried to call the front desk to say we were checking out, the phone wasn't connected because the end of the line had been removed. We'd booked three nights to visit family, but left after one and moved to another hotel. At checkout we expected some backlash based on other reviews, but got a full refund minus the one night's stay. We won't return until it's clearer that the recent two-year strike has led to the hotel's serious problems being cleaned up.

We left after the first night of a three-night visit to see friends and moved to another hotel. The place felt neglected and poorly maintained, and the room doors were hard to unlock. The carpet was damp enough that we had to keep our shoes on. The heater was set to 70 degrees, so the room was very hot and took hours to cool. The bathroom door had obvious water damage and wouldn't close properly, and the shower fan didn't work. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room was clean and breakfast was decent, but I still wouldn't recommend staying here. There was no hot water in the shower, and the hot tub wasn't working. The poolside walking stones were rough, and there was no AC. The building seemed either to be under renovation or just dilapidated.

We couldn't find our booking, even though I'd booked through booking.com and had confirmation. The hot tub was out of service, our room was freezing and the heater didn't work, and the shower water wasn't hot. The hotel was old and run down, so we had to leave and find a last-minute room elsewhere. Do not recommend.

That Sunday brunch was such a great spread. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. Thanks, guys, keep up the great work!
