The room was over 91 degrees despite the listing saying it was air conditioned, and the portable units didn't cool it adequately. It was dirty, and no linens were supplied for the third bed. Free parking meant the street, where signs limit parking to four hours, while underground parking cost extra. Staff were only available for limited hours and didn't call back when they said they would. I also accidentally left a personal item in the room at checkout, and it wasn't returned.

The setup felt more like a condo than a hotel, and the Wi-Fi was good. Our SUV fit in the underground garage, and the supplied in-car opener made parking convenient. The entertainment system was updated on our check-in day, and the huge 65-inch TV played our favourite music stations throughout the stay. The air conditioners worked okay but were incredibly noisy, almost unusable at night. Toiletries were replenished, though the white tiles always looked dirty with dark spots. They promote the waterfront view, which is fine from the balcony, but the glass really needs a serious cleaning, including the balcony windows. Sitting down, the view isn't great; standing, it's fine. The View restaurant and David Charles Yacht club seemed to host large rooftop patio events often, and they were kind of loud, so not ideal with kids. Some of the interior is very modern, but there are occasional outdated fixtures and sub-par details. As others have mentioned, the walls are paper thin. Luckily I'm not as impressionable, lol. Overall, an okay stay, though a few things weren't ideal for $300 a night.

It's kind of a weird place, and doesn't really feel like a hotel or resort. The rooms are nice enough and clean, but the place feels more like a so-so timeshare. It's pricey for what you get. For example, three of the nine bedroom door hinge screws were installed, and the door was pulling out of the frame. The A/C is a cheap, noisy floor unit, the kind you might get at Home Depot. The front desk is closed after 10 p.m. and before 10 a.m.

The place has some nice units, but the contents need attention. Our shoe rack nearly fell apart when used, a step by the door frame was broken, the fridge was badly dinged, and there were other dirty areas. The couch and sheets were stained, and the couch looked like it might have been soiled. After I showed photos, the front desk apologized, said they hadn't been able to get the stains out, and replaced the sheets. They also upgraded us to underground parking, which is free on their website, so we didn't have to park illegally on a busy street by a yellow curb. I was glad I read the key waiver, since it says a shoe print on the floor can mean a $200 cleaning fee. After paying around $180 with tax, I expected better upkeep.
