Wheel Inn Motel

The contactless check-in was convenient, and the woman onsite was very willing to help. My Roku stick connected without any trouble, and the room ended up costing less than the Booking.com price. The linens were clean, and I found no cleanliness problems or odors. It may be outdated, and it’s no Hilton, but it’s nowhere near the worst place I’ve stayed. I don’t get all the bad reviews. It’s a good spot for a night or two, and I’d stay again when passing through.

The price was great, and the room was as described. Staff were friendly, and overall we had a good stay, so we’d come again. Still, the room wasn’t ready at 4 p.m., even though check-in was meant to start at 3, which was frustrating. I also hope I’m mistaken about staff trying to enter our room without knocking. It happened at 8 a.m. and again at 9. The first time the door actually opened, but the chain lock was on. That was unsettling.

Everything in the room worked, and it was clean and neat, which is a good start for a motel. The coffee machine with pods was good too. For the price, it was fair. The lack of reception wasn’t convenient, and the cleaning could definitely be better. A good place to stay for a few business days in town.

The gentleman who took my call was so accommodating and sweet when I needed a room after getting stuck because of the weather. The cleaning lady also knocked to check that I had everything I needed, though I’m not sure of her name. I stay in lots of rooms for my work on the rigs in Alberta, and this has been the best place I’ve been to so far. I thoroughly thank everyone who works at Wheels Inn, and I’d recommend it 100%.
