Somewhere in Time B&B

The room was quite nice, though the bed felt a bit too soft and squeaky to me. Breakfast was good both mornings, and there’s free parking at the back. We were greeted by a friendly host when we arrived, and the location is good. B&Bs are a nice way to meet different people.

The people were nice, the value was good, and breakfast was better than I expected. We actually stayed at A Moment in Time, which is owned by the same people. It took forever to fill the jacuzzi, and the water never got very hot, but overall it was a great stay in Niagara.

The location is close to Niagara Falls, a gas station, and restaurants. It’s self check-in, with free Wi-Fi that works fine and a beautiful dining room. Breakfast is minimal but enough. The bathroom and toilet were clean and well maintained, and the bed was soft and firm, actually great. There’s free parking too, and our belongings were safe while we were out. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I wouldn’t choose to return. The owner/host was never around, so when the fireplace instructions were unclear and the television wouldn’t work, we had to message through Air BnB and wait for a reply. If it was after 9pm, the reply came the next day, leaving us cold and without TV that night. We got by since we don’t watch TV for a living, though we would’ve liked to that evening. We were told by someone we met there that the old house dates from the 50’s, and every step on the wood resonates. In my opinion, clear instructions for everything are needed if no one is there to show guests how to use things. The fireplace and television problems are the main reason this was a one-time visit for me.

I had a nice stay in a clean, roomy little place. It has around four rooms, and Clifton Hill is about a 25-minute walk away. There’s free street parking nearby, plus other B&Bs in the neighborhood.
