That phone call alone was enough to put me off Motel 8. We had a basic question, but the front desk woman immediately got an attitude, argued with us, lost her temper, and hung up mid-conversation. It was shockingly unprofessional and embarrassing for a hospitality business. We were already unsure about booking because the property looks run-down and poorly maintained from the outside. After that call, I can only imagine how guests are treated in person. The place gives the impression that neither customer service nor basic professionalism matters. Olds has plenty of other places to stay, and I’d pick any of them instead. The facility looks like it needs serious attention, while the staff seem more focused on their attitude problems. If I could give zero stars, I would. So unprofessional, and the place looks nasty, filthy, and disgusting.

We called Motel 8 - Olds with a simple, polite question and got a dismissive, impatient response right away, as if we were a bother for calling. The staff member lost their temper and hung up instead of helping. That’s completely unacceptable and disrespectful in the hospitality industry. If they can’t handle a basic phone inquiry, it says a lot about how the place is run. Customer service clearly isn’t a priority here. I’d take my business somewhere that respects its guests.

For what I paid, this older motel was fair. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the noise was about what I’ve experienced at other older, locally owned motels. The mother and son at the desk were lovely and made things easy for me and my pets during the dog show weekend. I came alone and felt comfortable, and the long-term guests I met were friendly too. I even had a little visitor in the parking lot! It’s right by a main road, easy to get to, and there’s a restaurant next door that I plan to try tomorrow. I’d stay again. If you want a newer or fancier motel, look elsewhere, but you get what you pay for.

I got the best rate in town, and the room was comfortable with everything I needed, including a kitchenette. The owners were very accommodating, and I felt the parking lot was safe. I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.

An older motel that could use some updates, but the family who own it were friendly and helpful. The sheets, towels, and floors were clean. The bed was rock hard and you could hear everything, but it’s affordable if all you need is one night.
