Bayview inn

We stayed for an extended time with our family and found the place quiet, safe, and private. The rooms were roomy and clean, with comfortable beds, and the prices were good. Staff were friendly and service was prompt and professional. The owners were kind, too. We’d happily recommend Bayview Inn to anyone, and think it’s the best accommodation in the city. Keep up the great work!

We needed somewhere for one night with the family and were pleasantly surprised to find this cozy, clean, cute little inn. The owner was kind, friendly, and respectful. I’d recommend giving it a try, and I’ll stay here again.

We decided not to stay after checking the room. The floors were dirty, there was a stain on the bed, a hole in the bathroom door, and the tub had yellow spots and a hairball. The Wi-Fi was poor and the TV seemed partly broken. The husband and wife who seemed to own the place kept emphasizing how many cameras they had, which felt strange and made me wonder if there could be cameras in the room. I didn’t check beyond a basic inspection. When we asked about the refund, the man first said he’d keep $25. He started lecturing us about learning not to do this to rooms, even though most rooms are actually clean, and then raised it to $45. He went in circles about us wasting receipt paper because their returns system was inefficient. When I, a woman, tried to ask why the amount kept changing, he cut me off right away, though he hadn’t done that to my boyfriend. Then he became more belligerent, said he’d keep the full $300 deposit, and threatened to call the police. He also threatened to blacklist us. His wife managed to stay calm, thankfully. The owner came across as completely unstable, and the room was dirty. We’d never set foot there again. I don’t know how they’re still in business if this is how he treats people.

We’d paid for a week, but after checking the room for bed bugs and other dirt, we asked for a refund. It was cold, smelled bad, and looked like there’d been a room fire from all the cigarette buildup. The bathroom door was kicked in. We politely explained the problems, and they checked and agreed the room was dirty. After about 10 minutes the owner started yelling and tried to charge us for the night. He also threatened to keep the deposit and call the police. His wife had to step in and handle things, while he yelled at her through the whole process.
