Ottawa Plaza Inn Downtown

Average. I'd only suggest it if you're on a very tight budget or just need somewhere to sleep for the night. The room wasn't that bad, but over the five nights I stayed, I wasn't sure whether the sheets had been changed. It's close to a bus stop, which makes getting into town easy. Just lodging, no breakfast.

Horrible MOTEL. Paint is peeling, there was no hot water, and the ceilings were falling in. It smelled like piss, with musty carpet. They overcharged me by 100$, then management hung up on me and called me a liar. This MOTEL is a joke. I'd go somewhere else.

The rooms are decent, but you can easily hear the neighbors. Check-in involved a lot of ID and security checks, and the place seems shady about its pricing. There are plenty of added fees and taxes, so make sure the price is clear when you arrive.

For last-minute Canada Day accommodation in Ottawa, this was clean and nice, and the price felt like a lucky break. It rained while I was there, but I still got a room for two nights at 90 bucks a night. On Canada's Day, I guess that's the best deal you can get in Ottawa.
