TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ottawa Kanata

The room was comfortable and gave me a good place to study for my math test. I was here for two days, and the shower was very nice. Staff were kind, there were good amenities, and breakfast was pretty good. The pancakes were my favourite, for sure. The pool was decent, and the gym was really well maintained with equipment in good condition. The left elevator was shaky and seemed poorly maintained, so that could use a check. Solid place, 4.5 stars.

The EV charging on site was a standout convenience, and everything felt set up with comfort and practicality in mind. TownePlace Suites by Marriott Kanata was clean, modern, and well maintained, with spacious suites that work well for short or extended stays. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and check-in and the rest of the stay went smoothly. It’s a reliable, comfortable option in the Kanata area, and I’d definitely return.

Over my 8-night stay from May 15-23, basic requests were repeatedly handled late or incompletely, and often took several follow-ups. This kept happening throughout the stay, not just once or twice. The front desk team at TownePlace Suites Ottawa Kanata were friendly and willing to help, but that was where the positives ended. There seems to be a disconnect between the front-facing staff and the operations team. I hope management takes this seriously, because good intentions at the desk don’t mean much when service doesn’t arrive on time or in full.

The location is convenient, and breakfast was the usual selection for this kind of hotel, though there’s no waffle maker. The beds were quite soft and uncomfortable. Front desk staff weren’t usually at the desk, so you may have to wait for them to notice you before they come out from the back room.
