I travel often for work and pleasure, but I won’t stay at this Comfort Inn again. I was stuck in Owen Sound during the snowstorm, and my wife had booked a room for my truck. Less than an hour later, staff said there was no parking for its size and that the road conditions up to the hotel were bad. When she asked to cancel, they told her to contact Expedia. She did, but the hotel still declined the refund. It’s very disappointing customer service and feels like the establishment is taking advantage of the situation. Best Western on 2nd Ave went out of their way to find secure parking for my loaded truck and provide power for the overnight cold. I’m also very disappointed with Expedia’s poor service.

Work booked me in for two nights recently. The place was quiet and clean, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was a nice extra. I’d happily stay again.

The room was comfortable where it counted, with clean bathroom, good beds and linens, and a large, newer TV. The Comfort Inn was reasonably priced, the staff were nice, and the hot breakfast was the usual hotel continental kind. We stayed two nights just before Christmas and it worked out fine; we’d come back. A few things could use attention: the room started out cold, probably under 60, and took a while to warm up. There was considerable water damage on the bathroom ceiling, and we could hear the neighbors talking through the thin walls even with two fans running. These are just suggestions for management.

We were pleasantly surprised by the stay. The room had a handy fridge and microwave, the Wi-Fi was reliable, and the beds and bathroom were clean. Staff were lovely and friendly, and breakfast was okay. I’d worried about bugs but didn’t spot any. There’s no elevator.

We were in town for a hockey tournament, and this Comfort Inn was well located for getting around. The price was good, with the basic amenities you’d expect, and the staff were fantastic and understanding. They even opened the dining area in the evening so our group could watch the Blue Jays during the World Series. I’m not sure if I should say that, but it was appreciated.
