The location worked well for us, and even in the freezing weather I could imagine the waterside walk being lovely when it’s warmer. Our room was clean and comfortable, though a little dated and ready for a spruce-up. We made good use of the pool, hot tub, and sauna. The staff really made the visit: James at reception was gracious with our big group and suggested some great restaurants. Amanda and the morning team helped with my questions and billing, and everyone I spoke with while arranging the group stay was patient and helpful.

I’ve been coming to Inn on the Bay for work at CATC for over a year, and James is the reason each visit feels so welcoming. He’s warm, professional, and clearly cares about doing his job well. Even when the hotel was packed on my latest stay, he came back from a break with food in hand and set it aside right away to help guests. He never makes you feel like a task, even when things are busy. Inn on the Bay is lucky to have someone who makes guests feel valued and welcome, and I hope his effort gets recognized.

The restaurant’s breakfast was delicious, and the hotel stay itself was completely stress-free. I was stranded overnight by the recent snowstorm in Owen Sound with a heavy truck, and finding parking had been a real challenge. The reception staff were kind and understanding, and went out of their way to find a secure spot with a hydro plug for the cold overnight temperatures. Thanks so much.

We had a fantastic three-night snowmobile trip, starting February 11, 2026, at the Best Western on the bay in Owensound Ontario. Manu at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful, and manager Jasen and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and professional. They made the stay a pleasure. Looking forward to coming back.

We’ll be back next year for our annual girls’ weekend. This was our third visit, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast comes with the stay and is served at the table, which was a nice touch, and the coffee was tasty. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Other guests got noisy after midnight, but one call sorted it out quickly.
