The room was a decent size, and having a stove and mini-fridge was useful. Parking was adequate, and the motel is close to tourist attractions. The owner was helpful and the customer service was good. Still, the carpet was dirty, there was quite a bit of plaster showing on the bathroom walls, and the bed was too soft and uncomfortable. Before booking on the same day, I saw two different rates and wasn’t sure why. Prices are reasonable, but I’d only recommend staying one night.

The owners work hard to make you feel welcome and enjoy your visit. This is one of the best places to stay while vacationing in our beautiful city of Owen Sound ON. They also accept properly trained pets, which I understand, since they need to be able to rent the rooms all the time. In my opinion, if you bring your pets, you and they should respect the room so the next guests can use it after you leave. We have a lovely little city, so leave it the way you’d want us to leave yours!

My family’s nightmare started and ended at this disgusting motel. The smell was awful, and I don’t know whether renovations could even fix it. It felt like the place should be demolished or condemned. The black mold in the washroom triggered our allergies, and after a shower we felt dirtier. The owner denies how disgusting the motel is. At night, the owner creeps around and looks in through the window.

The room was okay, but the nights were absolutely awful. On the first night, we called about someone running up and down the stairs, and were told there was nobody upstairs. The next night there was a woman yelling somewhere upstairs or in the back, a child crying, and then a man yelling too. The front desk didn’t do much when we called, and we said we should have called the police. I stayed in October and still haven’t received my deposit back. I’ve been calling for weeks, and now I have to drive three hours out of my way to collect money that should have gone back onto my card without questions. Horrible stay. I’d never come back or recommend it.
