For $1,200 a month, the cost of a real apartment, you get rats in the ceiling, warped moldy floorboards with screw heads sticking out, a toilet that only flushes when it feels like it, and a crooked front door with daylight visible around it. This isn’t a home, it’s a health hazard. The landlord drives a $150,000 Cybertruck but won’t make basic repairs. This is exploitation, not housing. P.S. BC tenancy laws forbid retaliatory evictions. Funny how that works 😉

It’s very budget friendly and centrally located. The bed was comfortable, and the mini fridge kept things quite cold, but there were only two pillows and no cups, glasses, coffee pot, or microwave. The TV had to be reprogrammed every time we wanted to watch it. The woman in the lobby was friendly and helpful. Book directly with the hotel for a better rate. There’s no pool, and I could have used one on the hot days.

We didn’t get room service during either night of our stay, and on the second day I had to go back to the front desk for fresh towels. When I explained to the receptionist, who also seemed to manage the place, why I needed them, all she said was “Oh.” The room smelled like an old, musty cabin when we arrived. There was no quilt, just a polyester throw that didn’t cover the whole bed. The laminate floorboards were curling at the edges from some sort of spill. I had to get toilet paper and soap from the front desk before we could settle in. A used towel from the last guest and old stir sticks were left behind. The toilet had a spot of pee behind the lid, which was open, and the bathtub still had soap stains from the previous guest. The only furniture had carvings from years of use, or abuse. Not worth $130 a night. I definitely don’t recommend this place and won’t return.

We drove six hours to pick up a car part and had booked a night here. The woman told us in an aggressive way that they wouldn't honor Expedia bookings because Expedia was ripping them off. I tried to understand her frustration, but she directed her anger at us and said we couldn't stay unless we paid her the full amount again. We only had to give it one star to post this, though I'd have chosen zero. If you need somewhere to stay, I wouldn't book here.

The room was in awful shape, and we paid $160 for one night. There was plywood propping up the sink, holes in the linoleum, a damaged mirror and tub, a bathroom door that wouldn't close, and what looked like blood on the ceiling above one bed. The bed felt like a box spring with no mattress. While we waited to get into the room, a long-term guest kept harassing me and my friend. He seemed to have been drinking and wouldn't leave us alone, so we told the manager, who moved us to the ground level. Before we arrived, the woman had also claimed on the phone that we'd booked two nights instead of the one we requested, and kept threatening to charge us for both. This was a horrific stay at what felt like a dive. The place should be condemned.
