Bellmere Winds Golf Resort

We were all disappointed with how this was handled. I enjoyed my first stay and play with Bellmere enough that we booked again the following year, but my group and I won’t book another package with Bellmere or Great Blue Resorts. We had rounds booked through Great Blue Resorts for Friday and Saturday. When we arrived for our Friday tee time in October, we found out it had been mistakenly cancelled on their end. It was 2:30, so we booked at a nearby course and left before dark. We asked if we could leave our bags and food, and were promptly told no. We played elsewhere, then had to hurry back after four missed calls from the desk so we could get our keys before closing. We got settled around 8 PM. Some food had spilled on pillows, and the front desk couldn’t offer anything to help. Saturday’s round was great, but getting a refund for the cancelled rounds took a month and a half and 20 calls to different people. Each time, someone promised a callback. After all that hassle, the course refunded us $20 per person for the round. We’d committed a work day to drive up, had to pay to play somewhere else, and couldn’t even use a fridge for our food. The service was horrendous. The GM, Chris or Mike, was condescending and cyclical, like talking to yourself. I’m not asking for anything free, just to be treated like a customer. You be the judge.

The course was scenic and really well kept, and I loved playing it. The greens are tough! I’ve only been once, but I’ll be back. It would be nice if they cleaned up the facilities a bit, especially the washrooms.

Bellmere is good value for a stay and play, with a beautiful, challenging course that was well maintained. The cottages have the essentials, and check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’d recommend it and would return.

The new cottages/trailers were very clean and well equipped, and the accommodation was excellent. We did a stay and play, and the course was very good.
