The owner made a real difference during my two-week stay. When I felt under the weather, she kindly gave me turmeric to mix into my milk. The room also had a kitchenette with a two-burner stovetop, compact fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and utensils, so I could manage basic meals. There were two comfortable beds with bright quilts, polished wood floors, and the space felt clean and welcoming. The internet was inconsistent at times, and streaming movies could be difficult. Pincher Creek gets strong winds, too, so make sure the door is shut securely. A gust swung mine open in the middle of the night and startled me. The hotel is on the route to Waterton Lakes National Park, which was handy for exploring the area. The scenery there is so beautiful it can be hard to leave. It's a cozy, convenient base in Pincher Creek, with thoughtful hospitality and a well-equipped room.
The room was clean enough, and the manager was really nice, but I wasn't impressed with what we paid. My wife and I stayed two nights. The pillows were flat and the bed was too soft for me to sleep well. Breakfast was awful: stale muffins, tasteless eggs, and an apple that was nearly too old. Toast was the only thing I could eat. It felt overpriced.
I had to book a last-minute trip to Waterton Lakes and was glad to find a room here. I was unsure about a two-star hotel, but the room was comfortable and very clean. The bed was comfy, the bathroom spotless and odor-free, and the staff were friendly. I'd happily stay again.
We had a filling continental breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and really good cubed potatoes, plus the usual options. The staff were top notch: they let us check in four hours early, upgraded our room, lent us two extra blankets, and gave us access to a fridge, microwave, hot plate and utensils. Being able to bring snacks and sort out lunches saved us money. My dad and I came to Pincher Creek to wander around places like Frank Slide and Waterton National Park. The hotel sits right on the main road out of town toward Waterton, and it's only a block or two from The Hut Caffe, where I had the best lavender latte and an amazing pistachio chocolate croissant. The breakfasts there looked great too, with crepes and regular breakfast and lunch choices. There's also a dollar store down the street full of crafts and goodies. The staff were warm and accommodating throughout.
We arrived around 10 at night after needing somewhere at the last minute. The man at the desk was very nice, and the room smelled clean and fresh without that bleach smell. The bed really was a king and so comfortable. We slept great and would absolutely recommend the place.
