The motel has a stylish look, set on a hill with the rooms staggered along it. I also liked the kitchenette amenities and found the bed extremely comfortable. It’s conveniently close to several restaurants and cute little shops, with grocery stores a 15-20 minute walk away. I’d definitely stay here again.

Our hockey team stayed here, and the heating was unreliable: it worked in some rooms but not much in others. A few rooms had no hot water or water pressure at all, and gaps under the doors let the cold in. The drive up the mountain is very steep and may be difficult for older people. Late checkout costs an extra $10 per hour, which I found ridiculous. There’s a small kitchen but nothing to cook with. At least the toaster worked well. It’s a dump, like a $60 room being sold for $149.

Varsha at the desk was very helpful and kind when we arrived. She looked up a few attractions for me and suggested a wonderful restaurant. Our room was clean, and she turned on the heat before we got there so it was warm at check-in. Someone also came by before the office closed to make sure we were all set for the night. There are plenty of places nearby to explore on foot. Thanks for a wonderful stay. If I come back to Powell River, I’ll stay here again without a doubt.

We stayed for one night, and the ladies in the office were friendly, kind, and very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We needed extra pots for cooking, and they were happy to help. The price was reasonable, and we’d stay here again.
