Days Inn - Prince George

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent and seemed fresher than at some other places I’ve stayed. It was an average stay, neither great nor bad. I’d think about coming back if the price came down a bit, since it felt somewhat steep.

The beds were nice, the rooms had been updated, and breakfast offered a good selection. The lobby was dirty, though there was a lot of sand being tracked in during winter. The bathroom cleaning was a bigger concern. The toilet hinges were filthy, and the nearby walls and cabinets looked like they hadn’t been wiped. There was old urine and other splashed residue around the toilet. I see this in a lot of hotels: the toilet gets cleaned, but not the area around it. I’d probably return if housekeeping did a better job on the bathrooms.

The rooms were lovely, with really good pillow-top mattresses. Staff were polished and professional, and everyone was so friendly that I’d definitely stay again. The housekeepers were professional too.

The barber is still there, and it looks like the old bar has been removed while that area is being renovated. They’d only need to paint the outside for the place to feel brand new. Compared with last year, the 2016 visit showed a huge change. The lobby had new granite and lighting, and every guest room had been redone with new beds, TVs, and granite bathrooms. There were friendly new staff as well.
