We booked two nights for a weekend away, but left after one. The listing led us to expect a hot tub, based on its past reviews, but it hasn’t been there for years. We didn’t ask for a refund for the second night because the booking was nonrefundable and reviews made us doubt we’d get one. The staff were friendly, I liked the pillows, and the location was handy for restaurants, a dollar store, a liquor store, and some bus routes. The interior looked interesting, though we didn’t explore much. But the room had several problems: the fridge made a high-pitched noise, so we unplugged it; the water pressure was terrible and the shower head sprayed from its connection; there was nowhere proper to leave our shoes. The walls had paint smears, and both the floorboards and bathtub felt like they gave underfoot. The area wasn’t the worst in PG, but it wasn’t the best either. If you just need somewhere to sleep and brush your teeth, it might do. For a decent shower, I’d stay elsewhere.

The room was peaceful, with a view of nature and greenery all around. It felt family-friendly, too. There’s an Indian restaurant on site with delicious food, plus a pool and sauna for relaxing. It was my first time staying here, and I had a fantastic visit. I’d come back! 😊

The Wi-Fi was quick and dependable, which helped while I was working, and breakfast had plenty of fresh choices. My room was quiet and clean, with everything I needed. Service was polished and pleasant throughout.

Breakfast was fresh, with a nice range of options, and the staff were helpful and polite the whole time. I also really liked being able to use the pool, sauna, and gym. Super 8 went beyond what we expected.

The breakfast used to be warm and comforting. Now it’s stale cereal and watered-down juice, and getting a waffle can be a scramble with so many guests around the maker. The pool is always said to be under renovation, but it never seems to get finished. It feels like the new owners aren’t investing in upkeep, including the pool and hot tub area. I used to think of this as one of the best places in Prince George, with a welcoming lobby. These days there’s no privacy. Staff walk the halls at night talking loudly in their language and playing music, which wakes you up. There are people roaming around at all hours, and I couldn’t tell who was staff and who wasn’t. It felt very unsettling. They charged me an extra $50-$100 over the online price, even though I booked ahead on the website. Staff wouldn’t honor rewards or discounts, and when I asked about it, they acted like they didn’t understand and charged whatever they wanted. I’m a rewards member with late checkout until 1pm, but staff knocked at 10:59am telling me to leave by 11. When I asked for a minute to gather my things, they stood in the doorway with it open, stared at me, and talked about me in their language while I packed. No pool, no privacy, and a horrible breakfast. The staff seemed unfriendly, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. I wouldn’t stay here again. A night with no rest like that wasn’t worth $180.
