The pool was a nice place to relax, even though it isn't very deep. Housekeeping did a great job keeping towels and bins clean and replenished, and the rooms were a bit small. We stayed with three other people for a short trip. The hotel is a little way from Old Quebec, but it's only about a 10-minute drive at most, depending on traffic, which can be heavy. Finding the underground parking was frustrating. We circled the lot and nearby streets before spotting it. There were spaces when we arrived, though I can imagine it getting difficult if the hotel were full. We could hear a private party from across the hotel on Friday night. Still, it was a good stay.

The location is great. The rooms were very clean and matched what was advertised, and the staff were friendly, though there didn't seem to be enough of them around during our stay. The arcade may not keep kids busy for long: it's mostly an empty room with a pinball machine and a small TV marked as the “theater.” Overall, the hotel was very good.

It doesn't feel like my last visit here. I couldn't help wondering what the security guard on the 7th floor was there for. They stood outside our room taking notes, then followed us and watched where we went, which felt more like being cased than protected. One front desk staff member also kept sighing and rolling his eyes at everyone he spoke to. Lol.

The decor is breathtaking. I wanted to take home every chair, sofa, antique, and other piece I saw. The pool made a gorgeous view outside our room, and every staff member we met, from the front desk to the restaurant, was kind and gave excellent service. My sister and I stayed for two nights and loved it. The one thing we'd change is the TVs: there weren't many channels, and we couldn't cast our phones to them, but we managed with what was available. I'll come back here when I'm in Quebec City.

Parking was short on spaces, and getting around felt tight with so few elevators. The hotel looks more like a 3-star place than a 4-star one to me. I've stayed at a 2-star hotel that was better.
