The location worked well for us, close to the south shopping district. I was in Red Deer for a hockey tournament, so the better hotels were going for $300 a night and this one was $100. The pool was out of order and the advertised breakfast wasn't there, and we got two twin beds instead of the queen we were meant to have. The room was okay, not especially clean-looking or especially bad. At regular prices, you get what you pay for. I travel a lot, so a bed is a bed to me. It wasn't great, but it did the job.

The man I spoke with was polite, but I left extremely disappointed. I booked and paid online for two queen beds, and got doubles instead. My two six-foot sons had to share one double bed. I was told those counted as queens and nothing could be done. The room next to ours was noisy too. The bed sizes were advertised inaccurately, and the customer service didn't help. Never again.

The parking lot felt a bit sketchy and was icy, and there wasn't even a shoveled path to it. Inside, clothes from the previous guest were still hanging in the bathroom, with thick dust on the headboards. The pool was closed, which we hadn't been told. I had to keep asking for Kleenex before the front desk guy finally brought out a nearly empty box, and I had to ask for toilet paper too. Don't waste your time.

Nothing fancy, just a functional place to spend the night. The rooms were clean and the price was good.

I slept great, and the location is great too. The room looked clean, though the toilet wasn't, so I pointed it out to the front desk and wound up cleaning it myself. The hair dryer was broken and the pool water was too cold to swim in. For the price, it was about what I expected.
