Apparently I’ve upset the owner. She’s trying to charge me for a pet, and says I have to throw everything away, I guess. The mold and broken stairs tell their own story, since you can’t just throw those out and build new ones. All those empty rooms might have guests if the place were nicer, lol.

There was black mold around the tub, and my room smelled musty. The air conditioner was great, but the $200 returnable room deposit made me gulp. It said rooms from $59, yet I was charged $79. I’m very disappointed and don’t recommend it. I do have my receipt.

The room was clean, well maintained, and had the essentials for a comfortable stay. Booking was straightforward, the staff were friendly and quick to answer questions, and the location made nearby amenities easy to reach. I had a great experience and would recommend the service, and might stay again. Just bring pliers, the shower handle was broken 😂.

This used to be a great motel when it had the previous owners. The new owners seem not to care about it. It hadn’t snowed for a week or so, but the stairs to the second floor were still covered in snow and ice. The room wasn’t very clean, and the pillows were old and lumpy. I also had to go to the front desk for toilet paper because there was almost none left on the roll.

We were homeless and staying wherever we could, including in our vehicle, when our niece from Calgary found this gem, the RedRest Motel. The prices were negotiable, and they treated us with respect and welcomed us like family. The owners were always ready to answer questions, and whenever we needed something, they brought it within minutes.
