The Hotel Saskatchewan, Autograph Collection

Valentina at the front desk was a gem. We arrived just after a blizzard, when the hotel was quite empty, and she sweetly talked us into two separate upgrades to the best room in the house at a discounted price. She also sent a custom gin and tonic with special side botanicals up to our room. Yum. The smoked old fashioned was top notch too. It’s a great downtown spot with a good bar, amazing beds, and quality staff. My first stay in Regina was a pleasant surprise. I like nice hotels, and while this historic place shows its age in spots, the character makes up for it. Really great place, highly recommend.

The hotel has so much on site, including a spa, bar, café, restaurant, and even a jewelry store. You could easily spend your whole stay here without needing to leave. The food and drinks were excellent, and the rooms were spacious, with very comfortable beds. It was our first time in Regina, and this place became the highlight of our weekend. I’ve always admired how Marriott Autograph Collection preserves the historic character of its properties, and this one does that beautifully. It’s elegant, charming, and well maintained.

Whenever I’m in Regina, I stay at Hotel Saskatchewan, and it never lets me down. The beds are incredibly comfortable, so I always sleep really well. Staff are consistently kind, professional, and welcoming, and make me feel well looked after.

The location is the main thing this place has going for it. The property feels dated, and the lighting is dim throughout, making it seem even older and less inviting. Nights are often noisy enough to make proper rest difficult, and the washroom is cramped and small. The on-site restaurant has very few menu options. Beyond the prime location, not much stands out in a good way.
