OTL Gouverneur Saguenay

The room prices are competitive, and the hotel itself is nice. I just wish the rooms had a bath. The restaurant is the letdown: even a regular meal costs too much. I understand it's meant to be upmarket, but it still feels over the top, especially when you arrive and find an expensive restaurant. I probably should have looked into that beforehand.

The spa area is fantastic, so make sure you use it. Breakfast is included and first rate, with plenty of choice and made-to-order omelets. The beds are very comfortable, the bedding is great, and the climate control works well. Everything was clean and well appointed, and the amenities, food, and service were all first class. Staff are friendly and responsive. The location is convenient, though there are no views unless you get a spa courtyard view room. I'd definitely stay again if I return.

We slept really well thanks to the incredibly comfortable beds, and the spacious rooms were spotless. We were very disappointed. The room was beside the parking lot, motel-like, and we could hear the TV from next door. I chose the hotel based on its amenities description, but when we arrived, we learned our room didn't include spa access. We couldn't even reserve it because access wasn't part of the room. One staff member said we should have read the details for the room we'd booked. But when spa access is listed in the hotel's general description without saying it's limited to certain rooms, that feels misleading, especially for the price I paid. I could have booked a cottage in nature with spa access instead.
