The location suited my reason for being in town, and staying in the Log cabin felt like a weekend at a cottage. There’s lots of waterfront, and the place was clean and equipped. The fireplace was a nice bonus. The floor could use some work, and the bedroom heaters were noisy when running and need replacing. Still, it was a good stay.
We were glad we could bring our dog, since dog-friendly places can be hard to find. He loved rolling in the snow and walking around the property. Our Coolbox had everything we needed, including a toaster, kettle, hot plate, and pots, plus a beautiful lake view. We booked the package with food and drinks from La Chouape Microbrasserie and a visit to the on-site spa. The food and beers were tasty, and the spa was peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay at the Domaine des Trois Iles and hope to come back in summer :)
There’s a lot to do outdoors here, from fat biking and skating to using the winter gear. You can also get in by snowmobile, and there are places to have bonfires and cook outside. The surroundings and activities make for a great experience, especially for outdoor enthusiasts. We rented the most expensive cottage. It was cozy if we kept the fireplace going, but with the severe cold we had, mornings were tough. Cold air came in around the windows, and water dripped from parts of the ceiling. The place also felt dark. I’m not sure if bulbs were burned out or if there was an electrical issue, but the main bedroom only had light in the closet and bathroom. The main living area was bright enough once dawn came. The stove fan and light didn’t work, which made cooking difficult because smoke had nowhere to go. The cottage needs some care. Summer seems like it would be a really nice time to stay there. They also have new Coolbox units that I didn’t rent, so I might try one sometime. The people we saw arriving by snowmobile seemed to enjoy the convenience.
Our family had a fabulous holiday in a Coolbox at Domain des trois iles. The little cabins were clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and well equipped for four, with two queen beds, a couch, dining table, functional kitchen, and bathroom. They’re by the water and cycle path, just outside touristy St. Felicien. There’s plenty to do on site, including boat rentals, soccer and tennis space, a fishing wharf, fire pits, and picnic tables. The owner and staff were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond, and the internet and TV worked reliably. I rarely give five stars, but this place earned them. I forgot to take photos of the Coolbox without people in them, but I did catch the sunset.
The lake is gorgeous, and the staff were incredibly generous with me. Domaine des Trois Îles was fantastic, with the Box set up perfectly. I’m looking forward to coming back for a longer stay!
