The old rooms were cramped, shabby, and unclean, and the service was terrible. I stayed three nights and housekeeping never came by once. I had to get clean towels myself, take away the wet ones, and ask the front desk for toilet paper when we ran out. Coffee supplies and glasses weren’t replenished either. The tub had a dirty, scummy ring around it, and the bottom was dirty too. The hotel’s cheap housekeeping policy seems to offer only skeletal service, as shown in the photo, but I didn’t even get that. If you expect a clean room and proper daily housekeeping for the full room rate, don’t stay here.

There was nobody at the front desk, and when someone did show up, they just stared without saying anything. It was weird. I didn’t eat the breakfast because I have a gluten allergy, so I brought my own food.

The room was comfortable, the continental breakfast was okay, and we had a nice stay overall. When you book through Expedia, you apparently only find out at check-in that your room is in the hotel’s side extension 😁 The hotel also has a level 2 EV charger, but it was broken for a couple of days. They let me use a 120V outlet instead, so I could charge my car with my portable charger. Many thanks 🙏

Our room facing the water was huge, very clean, and had everything we needed. Seeing the fall colours and snow geese from there made the choice worthwhile. The terrace was a lovely place for breakfast or a drink later in the day. Breakfast was basic but healthy, the coffee was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

The waterfront patio is beautiful, and the hotel has been nicely renovated and offers good value. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were helpful, attentive, professional, and efficient. They gave us great restaurant suggestions, helped hail a cab, and even lent us a bicycle pump. We were able to relax and enjoy our stay. It’s a hidden gem.
