The adjoining room doors didn't lock from either side, so I could have walked straight into the next room and its occupants could have entered mine. I saw that as a safety and property security issue. When I told the desk, they said they'd repair it or move me. I left for an engagement and, when I returned, they said it was fixed. They'd taped the edge of the door with white tape. I was so shocked I couldn't say anything. I was there for two nights and couldn't wait for the weekend to end. The walls are paper thin. Kids ran up and down the hall and people partied with music outside the room, perhaps in the activity room. I got no peace and left exhausted. The place felt stressful, below standard, and overpriced. The website should be more honest. The front desk staff were nice, and the rooms are large enough for two beds and two people to share comfortably. But the room itself was shockingly worse than the pictures. About a month before the stay, I'd injured my back so badly I needed a walker or cane. The beds were very high and hard to get in and out of, around or just above my hip. At 5'3, I would have needed a step stool. When I raised it, the desk staff said I should have called ahead, though I expected a regular bed and the listing didn't say they were so high. They told me only children's beds were shorter and couldn't support me, and wouldn't move me to a room with one. If you need disability accommodations, I'd be concerned about how well they can provide them. The mattresses were also worn, dipped in the middle, and let you feel the springs underneath. I was told by the person who suggested this residence that it was like a hotel, but it really wasn't what I expected and I can't compare it to a hotel or motel. Maybe it would suit a teenager without worries about someone entering the room, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone else. This was my experience, and yours may differ, but I was very, very disappointed.

The rooms are cramped, with almost no space, and the furniture is poor quality and in bad shape. Some pieces break easily. There’s a foul smell, mold and strange stains around, and I’ve even seen rats at the residence. I've rarely seen a worse place. The atmosphere is bad too. There's violence and sometimes bullying, with people partying and getting drunk around the residence, and even throwing up. It's extremely loud, worse than some concerts I've been to. One of the worst experiences I've had, and absolutely not worth thousands of dollars. You'll lose your sanity.

People are drunk, screaming and partying all the time, and it's insanely loud 24/7. I don't feel any safety or comfort here. The staff ignore complaints and do nothing, no matter how many times people report what's going on. The place is gross and stressful, smells horrible, and always seems dirty. It smells like something is rotting or moldy, and there is mold everywhere, including in the already cramped, too-small rooms. The people are rude and horrible, and most of the students are too. Nobody respects anyone or the space. Completely not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I did a 5 week school co-op work term here. The rooms were clean but needed renovations, and had a full size fridge. It's close to the mall, and there's kitchen access if you need it. The hotel has been converted into a school residence, though it's used as a hotel in summer. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed July 24-25 after unexpectedly needing a hotel. The rooms weren't fancy, but had what we needed. The young man and woman at the desk were incredibly helpful, probably the best service I've ever had. They made a bad situation so much better. Thank you!
