The Penthouse has a beautiful three-sided view of the city skyline, plus a full view of the river and two balconies with amazing sights. My king suite was amazing too, with river and bridge views from both the bedroom and main living room, its own balcony, and a very deep soaker tub. I have trouble finding tubs I can comfortably soak in, but this one was perfect. I loved my stay at The James Hotel and recommend it if you're in Saskatoon. I was there for a work Christmas function held at the hotel. The women on staff were fantastic, very professional, and on top of everyone's needs and even possible wants. I’ll be back.

The food was delicious, and everyone left with full bellies. Compliments to the Chef! This was our second annual Christmas party at the James Hotel, and we were hosted in the Penthouse Suite again. Neva & Jody were exceptional once more. They kept the drinks flowing all night, made us laugh, and were so warm and friendly. I’d recommend holding any company event here. See you next year!

The lounge was a lovely spot to relax, and Erin took great care of us with excellent service. We also really enjoyed the cocktails. Breakfast is a highlight here: the setup is nice, the staff are great, and the chef was friendly and fun to talk with. Our Studio Suite, 1 King Bed, City View was fantastic, quiet, and spotless. It had everything we needed, including a POD Coffee maker and kettle. There’s a small fridge, though it’s filled with minibar items that cost extra. The bedding was so good you can buy it, and it’s worth it. L’Occitane amenities in the bathroom were a nice touch. Parking is included, and the location is hard to beat. Everyone we met was welcoming and accommodating.

That deep soaking tub alone made this stay special. The bed, linens, and robes were incredibly soft, and having two TVs meant my spouse could game while I watched something else. Breakfast was made to order and parking was free. It’s definitely pricey, but the service was amazing and the place really felt like a five-star hotel. A great staycation spot.

I expected better service here, especially since I’ve stayed before and liked the rooms. We were trying to book a gift package, but were told we needed to give at least a week’s notice so they could “make the cookies.” We said the cookies weren’t important to us, but Chas still said they couldn’t help. We couldn’t book for a later date because of childcare, which we explained at the start. After giving up, I called back later hoping to speak with a manager. Chas suggested I try again tomorrow, when one might be able to help. I wish that option had been offered sooner, since it would have saved us both time if she couldn’t resolve it. I’m pretty unhappy with how this was handled. If we didn’t have gift cards to use, I’d look for somewhere else.
