Inn On Pim

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. When we had no cable the first night, he replaced the TV the next day and brought us a streaming device. My Dad and I came to the Sault for a weekend family visit because the price was reasonable. The rooms were clean, though we had to ask for extra supplies right away. My bed felt like sleeping on the floor, while Dad’s was a bit better. The first night, a family above us had children who seemed to be jumping off furniture. The motel isn’t soundproof, so it’s not a quiet choice. For one night passing through, it might be okay, but I’d choose somewhere else for a longer stay.

The whole property has a fresh feel, and the rooms have been newly renovated. I stayed in room # 3 at the Inn on Pim last night, and it was amazing. The bathroom was fresh and clean, the work station neat and tidy, and the room felt flat, fresh, clean, and cozy. I didn’t expect to be greeted by the owner himself. He recently took over the property, and from what I can see, it’s a huge improvement. I’d definitely recommend the Inn On Pim to anyone coming through Sault Ste Maria.

I paid at least $1800.00 for a month and a week, and it took two days for the office to give me a refill of toilet paper. There are no housekeepers, so in a week there are no fresh towels or bedding, and the mini garbage can in the room hadn’t been emptied. The outside garbage bin was overflowing too. Walkways to the rooms weren’t shoveled, which felt unsafe. The wall thermostat near the washroom had no cover and sparked and smoked when I tried to heat the room. There was no TV in the room despite the front sign advertising one, and no radio or clock. There was a coffee maker but no coffee pot. I asked several times for receipts and got none. I do not recommend this dump. Run the other way. All they want is money, money, money. Perhaps Sootoday would love this story!

The room was quiet, clean, cozy, and nicely maintained, with the basic amenities I needed. On the second day, housekeeping refreshed it, which I appreciated. Check-in was quick and easy, and they gave me treats when I arrived. I was also upgraded from one double bed to two, a thoughtful surprise that made the stay more comfortable. For the price, the value is exceptional. I’d gladly stay at Inn on PIM again and recommend it for comfort, convenience, and service.
