The BBQ pork had a good flavor, but it was tough. The Kung po beef tasted like the flour it was tossed in. Any seasoned chef knows you need to cook the flour off. I thought the food couldn’t get worse since my last review several years ago, but I was wrong. I’ll never go back. There’s an amazing place in owen sound with better food and reasonable prices.

The owner was nice enough to let us check in an hour early on the Sunday before groundhog day. She said the room was ready. Outside our room, beside the unshovelled walkway, there was an old broken mini fridge with a frozen, dirty hand towel on it. The room looked and smelled clean at first, but on closer inspection the towels were stained and there was hair on the pillows. The microwave was beat up and missing its facing, and the room’s smoke detector was sitting on top of it. After dinner we came back to watch curling, but only three channels worked, and three others had extremely poor reception. There were no sports channels. We called the front desk, and a guy came in after we invited him. He walked around in dirty, snowy shoes and didn’t fix the problem at all. While packing up at checkout, I looked under the bed and found an empty water bottle, obviously left by the previous guests.

I'm a 60 year old man, and I had a very bad experience at the Wiarton Willie Motel last week. There were bedbugs in my room. When I reported it, the employee, Gourd, yelled at me and refused to deal with the issue properly. I highly recommend avoiding this place. If you need somewhere good to stay in Wiarton, go to the Top Notch Motel instead.

The best part was that bonfire spots were available. The motel was convenient for everything I needed, and the staff were very friendly and always ready to help. The price was affordable and good value for the service, too. I had a great, comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone after a budget-friendly place.
