Downtown Executive Suites - Water Street

My first visit to NL was completely hassle free, thanks in part to an owner who was friendly and very accommodating. The 2 bedroom suite at 39 Queen's Road was spacious, stylish, quiet and secure, and just as impressive as its listing. It was beautifully accented and easy to get to and from downtown. The owner was a breeze to deal with. This is now my go-to spot when I visit St. John's. Thanks so much, folks!

We stayed in 202, a beautiful, well-appointed space. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was roomy with good water pressure. It's an excellent spot for walking to George St and the downtown restaurants. The owners respond to requests, and we'll definitely stay here again when we're back in St. John's.

The exposed brick and fireplace made the place feel special, and it was elegant, spacious, luxurious and tastefully decorated. We had a King bed with soft linens, plus all the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer. It was extremely quiet, too. I thought we were the only people in the building until I ran into someone in the hall. It made for a great romantic getaway. After staying at Downtown Executive Suites, I won't stay in a St. John's hotel room again as long as I can rebook here. I highly recommend it.

The apartment was super clean, comfortable and spacious, and it definitely beats a hotel. Steve met me at the door and set up personal codes for the main entrance and my apartment. The rooms were pleasantly furnished, with old brick on many walls. There were two big flat-screen TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, comfortable chairs and a dining table. Room 201 had a very comfortable King bed. I didn't cook, but the kitchen had the necessary utensils. Downtown means some traffic noise. I could also hear a drummer busker playing a few doors away rather late one evening, but earplugs did the trick. With a rental car, Steve gave me a pass to park on a nearby street for a small daily fee. Unloading was tricky: someone sitting outside Downtown Executive Suites told the parking officer I'd only be a moment, which may have saved me a ticket. Parking before 6AM or after 6PM wasn't a problem. At other times, I needed to use the designated area with the pass or pay at a meter. If you aren't touring on your own, a taxi to and from the airport might be easier. I enjoyed visiting Cape Spear, Petty Harbor and a few other nearby sights.
