Holiday Inn Express & Suites St John's Airport by IHG

We chose a prepaid, non refundable rate to save a little, but when extreme weather shut down public transit and police advised people to stay off the roads unless it was an emergency, the hotel wouldn’t help us reschedule. I called before check-in to cancel, and the hotel’s director of sales later refused to book us for another date. I understand the booking was non refundable, but I expected a large company like Holiday Inn to show some flexibility in those conditions. There was no effort to accommodate us at all, and no customer appreciation. Come on, Holiday Inn, do better.

A friendly person at the front desk gave us a Christmas gift when we checked out, which was such a nice touch. We’d stayed here once before and will be back for a third visit. This time we spent one night in a suite with our grandsons. They had fun at breakfast, especially with the bacon, sausages, pancakes, and peach yogurt. They also loved the warm pool, and enjoyed the gym.

Jeremy was kind and understanding when a death in our family meant our relatives had to cancel their hotel stay less than 24 hours before check-in. I’m very grateful for his sympathy and help. Thank you.

The kids had a great time in the pool, and the hotel was very clean. The staff, including the cleaning team, treated us wonderfully. They even called me a cab. Thank you all, it was a lovely place to stay and I’d definitely recommend it.
