The Gables of PEI

Anderson Creek was my favourite of the four courses I played, and the golf overall was outstanding. I was there with three buddies for a golf holiday, and it was a great spot to take a few days off and enjoy the scenery. The accommodations were great, the hot tub was ideal, and we liked having the outside deck. The staff were very accommodating.

We had a two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa that was very easy to settle into, like our own little piece of paradise. The location was perfect for our family of four, close to Cavendish and North Rustico, and getting around was no problem. We spent four days at the Gables of PEI and loved the island for a relaxing vacation. We didn’t want to leave, and the food was phenomenal. We highly recommend PEI, especially Gables of PEI for its location.

The homes are nice, but we won’t be going back. For multiple years, our experience has been disrupted by groups of men who are obnoxious, drunk, and loud through the day and night. With five or six big trucks parked in different positions, parking becomes nearly impossible. Asking the men to quiet down got us told off. We tried to get help from Gables staff, but they said there was no proof of wrongdoing, even though we had picture or video proof, and essentially left us on our own. The police are too far away and apparently it’s not worth their time unless there’s an altercation. I don’t know who handles bookings, but groups like this should be vetted beforehand. Bro gatherings, bachelor parties, or whatever they’re doing ruin the stay for regular guests and families. I’m giving the lowest scores possible because of these guests.

This was our second visit to the Gables, and we love it. The front desk staff were so lovely, and we appreciated being able to check in early with our two infants. The hot tub was super clean, there was more than enough in the kitchen, and the beds were very comfortable. Our king villa had enough room for two pack n plays, one in each bedroom.
