Breakfast wasn’t much of a choice, since most of it was already on the table when you arrived. The room smelled musty, and the home in the photo wasn’t current. It was dirty, with overgrown bushes, no flower or vegetable garden, and no outdoor seating.

Drew was a wonderful host and great to chat with, and breakfast was delicious. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights with our two small dogs. The king suite was clean and spacious. If you’re after a simple countryside B&B that feels just like home, I’d recommend taking a look.

The breakfasts were the highlight: homemade, generous, and absolutely delicious. We usually weren’t hungry again until dinner. The owners and other guests were pleasant company too, and it was nice swapping stories about the attractions. Carr's Oyster Bar and Sutherland's Restaurant are both an easy walk away and worth visiting. We spent seven nights here, mainly using Linden Homestead as a base for day trips around the island. At first, 9am breakfast seemed late, but we settled into a comfortable routine. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, with air conditioning and a very comfortable king bed. Between the breakfasts, good company, and easy access to attractions, it was five out of five for us. We’d stay again.

The bathroom had been newly renovated and was really nice. The cottage is rustic but well kept, and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable, and the heat pump and dehumidifier kept the air feeling good.
