Countryside Motel

For a no-frills stay with only the simplest amenities, this place could work. The price is reasonable for what you get, especially given the dated decor. WiFi was very fast, and the staff were friendly and courteous. Both the room and bathroom were very clean, though they could use an update. The shower curtain and bathtub had rust stains.

It’s not the Hilton, but for a couple of nights it does the job: clean, inexpensive, with hot water and a clean bed. My wife and I went for a weekend and were pleased with how tidy the room was, the care taken with the beds, and the bathroom’s plentiful towels and very hot water. The owner, his wife, and their university-age son seem to put a lot of effort into the business. We plan to return for a quick couple of nights before Christmas.

Hatel, the manager, was especially helpful, and the staff were kind and considerate. When the hotel’s water went out, he got the issues fixed within two days, despite Reliance having problems. The place was clean and well kept, with lots of amenities and a lovely area for walks. It has a country atmosphere and feels close-knit, with people who really care about guests. It felt like a safe haven, with respect and good accommodations. I’d stay again, and I’d consider Countryside for a future visit to strathroy.

I’ve always had a good experience at the countryside motel. The rooms are consistently clean, the location is perfect, and Hatel, the owner, has always been very kind. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you need a place to sleep in strathroy.
