Semi Centre House

We brought our dog and enjoyed our stay at this pet-friendly place. The bed was mostly comfortable, though only queen beds are available, and each room has a large television. The owner is very nice and lives across the street in a condo development. It's a four-bedroom boarding house with each room rented separately and its own small bathroom. There's also a decent-sized living room, dining room, and kitchen. Everything was relatively clean, and the kitchen was nicely equipped, so you can cook if you want, even though there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There was one other couple during our stay, and we had no issues with them. Since the place is small, you do have to hope the other guests are considerate about noise and cleanliness.

Allison, the owner, was great, and the place felt clean, comfortable, quiet, and inviting. My guest cared a lot about TV, though, and the only option was a Netflix service that didn't work. That's the one reason I wouldn't book again. If the owners added cable, it'd be the best deal around by far. Some people on their own like to watch the news or TV in the evening to relax.

At CAD 120 a night, this is really good value for money. The home was very clean and well maintained, and Allison was kind and accommodating. She even worked with our request for a late check-in. I'd definitely recommend it.

The hostess and owner was a delight, and I'll most likely stay here again on my frequent trips west. It's a clean little rooming-house-style B&B, though really it's just a B. Guests can use the shared kitchen and appliances, and every room has its own washroom. It's a bit far from Vancouver, but Surrey, Langley, and nearby areas are easy to get to.
