Whale Cove Inn

We ended up driving for hours and still couldn’t get to the cottage before midnight. I’d booked it on Airbnb and tried to cancel, but the host wouldn’t agree and didn’t respond in the Airbnb resolution center. The cancellation didn’t go through, so I received no refund.

The ferry for whale watching was just two minutes away, which made getting there really convenient. The staff were friendly and very helpful, too. We had a good time sharing the house first with a family from Germany, then with a couple from Quebec, and enjoyed chatting with them. It felt like home, with a full kitchen and living room, and the price was reasonable. We’ll definitely stay again next time we visit Nova Scotia.

We booked at the last minute for a quick trip to long island, and it all went smoothly. We arrived after hours, but our key and information were left for us. The little rooms were cute, with private bathrooms. There’s a shared shower upstairs and shared dining and living areas downstairs. Everything was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The area was beautiful. Wish we’d had more time there, and I’d definitely recommend it.
