The free breakfast buffet and convenient location were the only real positives for us. After we were assigned a room and key card that belonged to someone else, staff moved us to another room, but were rude and didn’t apologize for the mistake. That room was short on towels. When we asked for a couple more, we were told they couldn’t provide them, and one staff member snarked that we were checking out the next day anyway. They eventually sent one towel, but it had black stains all over it. We stopped raising concerns after that.

The location was a strong point, with plenty within walking distance. Honestly, I expected worse after reading the reviews. The view was nice, and the shower, toilet, and sink all worked. There was decent storage, though hardly any decor and just one chair. The room felt damp the whole time and had a persistent locker-room smell. The carpet was almost sticky, so being barefoot was unpleasant. The AC worked but didn’t clear the moisture. The bed wasn’t great; bringing our own pillows helped. It was okay for two nights, but a longer stay would’ve been painful. It felt safe, secure, and somewhat clean, and more comfortable than camping. Pretty not awful. A solid 2.5/5 😉

The Eaton Centre is close by, so the location works well if you want to be near everything. Still, there were too many problems for me to recommend this place. I tried calling several times and couldn’t get through. No one picked up, and it may not work at all if you’re outside Toronto. The floor looked dirty, and I ended up stepping on broken glass, as shown in the photo. I stayed three days and housekeeping never came to clean or replace towels, so I had to go downstairs and ask. The shower faucet and sink had no hot water until I called maintenance. The pillows had black and brown stains, and the bed creaked a lot when I lay down, like it had seen heavy use. Soap and shampoo weren’t in the room either, I had to fetch them myself. Not worth what I paid, and I really don’t recommend it.

The room was simple but spacious, with a comfortable bed and a great view. I was here for a conference and had a nice stay. Breakfast had a good selection of fruit, and the observation deck on the top floor had lovely views too. The laundry was good, and Eaton Mall was only about a five-minute walk away.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty of milk choices, fruit, and eggs at the self-serve restaurant. I also liked the southern view from room 2348. Front desk customer service was good, and the building was ADA accessible throughout. The lobby and entrance have a classic, old-school Vegas hotel look, though the furniture wasn’t comfortable. Toronto sign and City Hall are nearby. There’s a laundry room on level C, which I didn’t use. During my five-night stay I never received room service, not even trash removal. The room had no TV, phone, fridge, microwave, clock, or reading light. All the windows and balcony are sealed, so there’s no fresh air, and the rooms stink. The beds are small for two, metal-framed, and stiff, with what seemed like very cheap mattresses, like ones at Yosemite or other camping spots. Parking costs an extra $30 per night, paid at a lobby machine. Stayed Aug-4 to 9-25.
