The location at George Brown College's Waterfront campus was excellent for our summer stay in downtown Toronto, and the apartment-style suite had a private bathroom and basic kitchenette. Rooms were generally clean, but housekeeping is only available for stays longer than four nights. Even then, ours was missed. The laundry setup was outdated and frustrating. You have to buy a non-refundable laundry card for CAD5, then pay separately for each wash and dry. The machine for the card only took cash, despite saying it accepted cards, and I was left with a useless card after checkout. At nearly CAD230 per night, the lack of basic amenities and unreliable service made it hard to recommend, despite the good location. If comfort, convenience, and service matter, this probably isn't the place for a Toronto visit. I have a full review in my YouTube Channel video diary.

My wife and I stayed for a week with our two kids, and the clean two-bedroom apartment had ample space and everything we needed. Staff were attentive and friendly, even when we checked in in the middle of the night. The building felt safe, and we regularly saw security staff patrolling. I was surprised that cleaners also came by a couple of times to bring clean towels and vacuum the room. The Distillery District was a few minutes' walk away, with plenty of food choices and nice shops. A supermarket and other restaurants, including a very nice Thai place, were even closer. It's not a hotel, but it cost less than half what the hotels I'd looked at were charging, and it gave us everything we needed and more. I read some reviews from people who didn't have the same experience, which surprised me. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodation.

It was decent for the price and the location was good. Still, for our next trip we wouldn't book here again, and would look for deals somewhere else. You have to understand it's a dorm, or you'll be disappointed if you expect a hotel, but we still expected good service. The late afternoon staff were the most helpful when we had trouble with our key cards. I called several times and asked the front desk for service, but our suite wasn't cleaned during our week-long stay. They said there'd be a cleaning after four days, but we only got extra towels. Our used towels and garbage were never taken away, despite follow-up calls. Twice, someone said they'd come, and then nobody did.

The room was large and clean, but I paid $274 for one night and couldn't wash my face or brush my teeth because there was almost no water pressure in the bathroom faucets. At 2 AM, someone from the front desk came up and said that's how it is throughout the building and nothing can be done. The AC wasn't working either. I called at 10 PM and was told someone would come, but nobody did. When I called again, they offered to move me at 2 AM, while saying the water pressure would be the same in every room. It was only 14 C outside, so the AC wasn't being overwhelmed by the heat. I sweated all night.

The view from our room was great, and the hotel was nicely organized with plenty of space inside. I went on vacation with friends and had an amazing time.
