The room upgrade made our anniversary night at W Toronto feel special right away. It was spacious, modern, comfortable, and spotless, with everything from the linens to the bathroom looking carefully maintained. Later, a lovely welcome treat of macarons and rich chocolates arrived, which felt personal and thoughtful. We were only there for one night, but the staff made it count. They congratulated us warmly when they heard about our anniversary, and their service was attentive without being overbearing. They seemed to notice what we needed before we had to ask. We left grateful for how they marked the occasion. It was a short stay that meant a lot to us, and we'd be happy to return to W Toronto or recommend it to someone celebrating something special.

Shakta, James, and Darina made my visit to the W Toronto downtown memorable. Darina's upbeat approach and attention to what guests might need stood out, while James brought a polished, welcoming manner. Shakta made sure the details came together smoothly. What impressed me most was how well the three worked together. Their communication and care made the service feel both personal and high end. From the moment I arrived, everyone I dealt with was professional and genuinely warm. Thanks for such a strong experience. I'll be back and will recommend the property to friends and colleagues.

Breakfast was a highlight, especially the lemon ricotta pancakes. Kathy N was our server, and she was friendly, attentive, and made the mornings feel welcoming. We also ordered room service twice and enjoyed it. We stayed two nights. The hotel was clean, and although the room arrangement was a little unfamiliar to us, it worked fine. There was one late-night snag when housekeeping had left off the duvet cover. The manager sorted it out quickly and professionally. A lovely visit, and we're looking forward to coming back.

The coffee was excellent, and the service made this a first-class café visit. We were greeted as soon as we came in and told to grab a seat before ordering. After we sat down, the baristas explained how things worked and said they'd bring our drinks over. They also knew their coffee well and talked me through the roast options and why they use them for different preparations. I had my usual Cortado, and my companion got a macchiato. Both were nicely made and served at the table with glasses of water. The almond croissant was fresh and not too sweet. I was glad to see Barocco Coffee Roastery coffee here too, since I've been impressed by it at other cafés around the city. I'd never really looked for a café in this part of downtown, but one weekday morning we needed good coffee and a small snack. From the street, the window setup makes this place easy to miss. Look inside, though, and it's a comfortable, modern coffee bar. Toronto has a great coffee scene, and the kind of hospitality we got at the W cafe could make it even better. Being acknowledged and clearly shown how to order makes a difference, especially when coffee costs a fair bit. This place is worth seeking out in the area.

Kian made our time at the hotel especially fun. We had a lovely conversation that was friendly, entertaining, and informative, and Kian was also a professional photographer. We'll be back! The hotel is beautiful and well placed in Yorkville. We really enjoyed the sushi and smoked old fashioned at the hotel's own Tono.
