The setting is beautiful, and we could land on the lake and park right on the beach. Our room had everything we needed, and breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. We accidentally left behind two small things, and the owners kindly mailed them right away. I'd happily stay here again.

The house was comfortable and clean, and the owners were very kind, especially the wife. Breakfast was excellent. One thing to know is that the bedrooms we used were on the third, top floor, while the toilet room was one floor down and the shower another floor below that. That layout could be an issue for some. Otherwise, excellent.

The facilities and house are beautiful, but we felt like an inconvenience throughout our stay. I got the impression Diane and Michel were in it for the money, rather than because they enjoy having guests in their home. The hospitality was awful.

The staff are warm and polished, and they know the Nord-Ouest inside out, so their suggestions can help make for a wonderful vacation. The view from every window is worth the price, and the breakers are the best in town. This is a very high-end luxury motel, and every stay has been pleasant. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Michel Cadieux keeps the place clean, and he's a great cook. It's a real gem that people haven't discovered yet, with a homey feel. I'd stay there again if I ever return to Val d'Or.
