Days Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Metro

The staff were friendly and really helpful. The hotel looked tidy and fairly clean, with little visible wear. The beds were a bit firm, though not terribly uncomfortable, so they're probably fine if you like a harder mattress. Breakfast was a solid, standard continental spread, and there were enough toasters for everyone.

The courtyard inside was lovely, and for a standard queen room with a fridge and TV, the price seemed right. Check-in was available 24 hours, which was handy, and the beds were clean and nice. The TV did keep switching itself off at random, though. Breakfast was a typical continental one, and overall we had a good stay. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy. The AC was blasting when we arrived, so I switched on the heater, and then the room smelled like burning hair. There were hairs on my towel, in the shower, and across the floor, which was gross. The man working at night was nice, but the daytime front desk staff weren't friendly.

We slept without any trouble, even though the hotel is on a busy road and noise stayed fairly low. The staff were excellent throughout. My only complaint is that the rooms feel a bit dated. Updating the bathroom would make a big difference.

I came for work and managed five of the seven nights. The front desk staff were nice when I arrived, but things went downhill once I got to the room. The blankets and towels were stained, the room was freezing, the doors weren't sealed, and the place was generally dirty. Doors slammed through the night, and the walls were so thin I felt unsafe in my own room.
